God's gifts from busy, blessed times

Busy, blessed times.  Time to catch up...

- Abel making a tower with his lotions and pajamas
- Making cloth curls for Adrianna
... And them turning out a little wild!
- Abel beading
- And Adrianna turning my beading into letters
- Bike play in the garage (there are three of them in there riding around!)
- Abel taking his sandwich apart to eat the meat first (he's such a protein lover)
- Adrianna and Jenny adding a stop sign to the slide
- Scott putting together our garden box
- Abel's train play
- Finding Abel's organization on the fridge
- Abel gulping down the Emergen-C vitamin water and asking for more "juice"
- Abel entertaining baby Matthew with play dogs
- Making goat "curds and whey" with Adrianna on one of our Monday afternoon Mommy-daughter times (curds and whey is cottage cheese)
... And laughing that it takes two cups of milk to make this much cottage cheese
... But Adrianna loving it and wanting to save some to share with Abel and Daddy
- Adrianna's idea for a craft after seeing how to draw shells in a book
- Our dishwasher dying, after serving us for seven years
... And Scott ordering a new one online
- Adrianna and Jenny having girl talk and lunch on the pile of rocks

- Steve helping Scott install the new dishwasher (including re-wiring)
- Starting our little garden


... And being able to use our compost dirt to fill half of it up
... And Adrianna and Abel helping me to stamp down the dirt

- Playing a train game sent along with teaching goodies from Scott's Aunt Margaret
- Rugs drying on the bench
- The drawings Adrianna made while falling asleep at night
- Abel entertaining Matthew by spinning his toy wildly
- Adrianna's painting of herself and Jenny
... And realizing that she forgot to give herself hair
- Abel coming out of room time to tell me what he found in a book: "Mommy!  It's Abel and Adrianna!"
- Abel advancing in his pretend playing 
... And finding his Pooh Bears set up at a party
- Using and I-Can-Draw book to make zebras with Adrianna (another Mommy-daughter Monday)


- Abel wanting to make necklaces with Adrianna


- Adrianna using our easel
... And the crazy afternoon that followed as Matthew's dad arrived and Abel called: "Chase me!" and Adrianna followed him, dripping her orange paintbrush across the living room ... And her tripping and gouging her eyeball with orange paint.  (The stuff of memories!)
- Taking Adrianna into the backyard to see a surprise...
... Her seeds sprouting!
- Dizzy cat meow-barking at the springtime birds
- Adrianna taking a thank you card to her sign language teacher
- Funny walking with Abel to Kohl's as we waited for our tires to be rotated
- Abel finding the best way to stay entertained while Mom tried on clothes: trying them on himself!
- Cowboy night and dinner

- Abel's horse-riding antics
- Saturday afternoon car wash, with all the neighbor kids chipping in
... And them all exclaiming that it was "the most fun ever!"
- Abel and Jack "communicating"

- Abel and Jack "bike riding"
- Just barely warm enough for sprinkler running
... And sitting on the sprinkler
- Adrianna making Mother's Day cards all by herself
- Our friends giving us garage sale items to sell
... And being overwhelmed by the amount and the quality
... And hanging out with the kids while waiting for Scott and Steve to fit it all in the trailer


- Getting an amazing Thomas set from these friends
... and setting it up while the kids were sleeping, so that they found it the next morning
- Baby Matthew having another seizure while I was watching him, but being ready this time with his oxygen on hand
... And God's blessing in Matthew having a seizure while the EEG technician was there, so that it could be clearly diagnosed
- Cleaning out cupboards for our garage sale and wiping them out after years of use
- Playing with the tree house play set from the donations
- Making Mother's Day cards with Abel
... And Abel going to Grandma's house afterwards: "Grandma, I painted you a picture!"
- Making bagels and cinnamon rolls in some of the cutest donation tins
- Garage sale donations (just from two families)
- Adrianna trying out another of the toys
- Abel riding all the way to the library on his two-wheeler (and my back ache that followed)
- Fresh home-made tortilla chompers
... And beater-lickers
- Adrianna and Abel "watering"
