God's gifts from hair donation

Quite a lot of pictures to catch up on...  And stay tuned for blessings from Uganda.

Starting from February 7
- Abel climbing up to point out our friends' pictures in our desk
- Adrianna wanted me to paint her face to celebrate my birthday
... And her being so sweet, trying extra hard to find ways to make me feel special for my birthday

- Doing more art lessons with Adrianna
... and admiring her before/after pictures, from the same afternoon (according to the lessons, we're supposed to notice a shift from symbolic to more realistic drawing)
- Enjoying a care package from our dear relatives
... "Tractors for Abel??!"

- Adrianna enjoying her new doll and tea set, and setting up her own private tea party (not even brother or Mom or Dad were invited)

- Abel appreciating the tractor working across the street
- Abel popping the air pockets from our packages
- Adrianna and Scott playing Set
- Setting up a farm in the dining room
... And Adrianna creating a farm secret password on the harmonica
- The best gluten-free chocolate chip cookies
- Adrianna and Scott enjoying a search and find
- Finding fun ways to say "I love you" to each other on Valentine's day
- Playing a letter matching game with Abel
- Adrianna deciding to make a newspaper for our neighborhood
... And her passing it out to neighbors and friends at school

- Keeping Abel entertained for an hour with a sink full of bubbles

- Our annual Valentine chocolate fondue
... And getting to share it with our friend and her baby (whom I watch)

- Adrianna's fun journal activity for school
- Enjoying a sunny afternoon outdoors again



- Our kids enjoying singing the song "Big John"
- Adrianna writing a journal about her new doll
... And doing an art lesson to draw her

- Playing Pretty, Pretty Princess with Scott, Abel, Adrianna, baby Matthew, and me


- Abel and me making up our own version of Connect 4
- My dad and step-mom coming to visit for the weekend, and bringing our niece, Madelene
... And taking Madelene to our allergy specialist, and the way God worked to bring some of her hidden allergies to light

- Adrianna working to grow her hair long enough to donate

... And Adrianna just being excited, and not nervous
... And two sets of grandparents being there to watch







- Painting nails with Adrianna and Madelene

- Adrianna and Madelene working on crafts together
- Taking the extended fam to the library to collect our free ice skating passes with our winter reading program
- Going ice skating with the extended fam, and taking Madelene and Abel for their first times



- Reading time with Grandpa Bob
... And Adrianna and Madelene taking turns reading to each other
- A lunch with two sets of grandparents before the family headed back home
- Adrianna and Scott getting down time together after the family left
- Abel doing pouring experiments
- More lion art lessons
- Watching an old tractor movie for the first time, and Abel enjoying it so well, he kept bursting into tractor songs
- Mailing in Adrianna's braids to Pantene's Great Lengths
- Chocolate-sunflower seed butter frozen banana bites
- Our allergy-free version of fish and chips, with baked sweet potato chips and ground sunflower seed crusted tilapia
- Adrianna playing "Texas"
 ... And needing to watch the tractor movie again, to go with the Texas theme

- Abel discovering the ball shooters
- Joint rides
- Homemade pizza sauce
... And Scott saying that our house smelled like a pizzeria
- Craft time with Abel and Adrianna, while waiting for our special guests to rise


- Finally finding Adrianna a local piano teacher, and her practicing for the first time
- Making a delicious lunch with left-over salmon and left-over salad
- Realizing that squirting Rusty with the spray bottle when he whines in the middle of the night works!!!!  ... And getting whole nights' sleeps again!!!

Ok! HOW PRECIOUS IS SHE?!!! LOVE the "new-do"!! And Anna's drawings really are so mature for her age, I can see it! :)
