God's gifts from giving and receiving

Whew... It's been a busy last seven days.  As I hold my scribbled list and upload the pictures, I see God's grace over all of our moments.  What a generous God of lavish grace.  Praise be to God.

And now for the words of thanks for each moment of grace.

- Walking lush trails after months of dryness
- Adrianna making me my own note pad
- Fixing Farmer's Market potatoes
- Making dairy-free, gluten-free cupcakes to share with Adrianna's class
- Finding a recipe for yummy gluten-free wraps for Adrianna
- Adrianna deciding to make tarantulas (using buttons and pipe cleaners)
- Organizing our collection of dairy-free, gluten-free recipes... and marveling at the extent of the recipes we have found


- Fun times taking Abel to a three-year-old friend's birthday party


- Quiet times with the sun rise
- Celebrating Adrianna's sixth birthday with a breakfast of waffles and bacon (Adrianna's request)
- Adrianna wearing the same dress she wore for her birthday last year
- Abel telling me: "Anna's six!"

- Abel's continuing phone game: "Hello?  Hi!"
- Starting a new year of Bible study in the book of Acts

- Bible study teachers for my son

- Taking Abel to eat lunch with Adrianna at school for her birthday
- Adrianna using string and bears to make her own Venn Diagram (she learned about in school)
- Adrianna enjoying a fun Mad Libs-style birthday card from her grandparents


- The joys of watching a six-year-old open presents
- Abel's delight in helping Daddy make coffee
- Adrianna wanting to help get ready for her party by doing her chores, and telling me, "I'll help when I get back" from school

- Enjoying Adrianna's idea of having a birthday party with our neighbors
... And Steve barbecuing a delicious dinner for us all to have together

- Watching Adrianna open the presents she requested, not for herself, but for others: Items to send to Kenya through Club House, Jr.'s supply drive
- Neighbor girls enjoying play time in the play room
- Adrianna trying out our Handwriting Without Tears set
- Marveling at our growing boy... so handsome, so agile
- Adrianna enjoying the "laptop" from her grandparents
- Playing Pretty Pretty Princess
 ... And Abel joining in by deciding that the spinner was called, "Pursewackle"
- The squish position they both find so funny
- Writing a description of how we received the Kenyan supplies to send away with the box
- Turning Steve's left-over chicken into easy frozen dinner starters
- Adrianna's posting of pictures all over the yard for her birthday party, just like they did in Because of Winn Dixie
- Abel: "Mommy, more coffee??"
- Hanging out with out-of-town friends and their kids
- Left-over cake with breakfast
- The entourage of neighbor kids helping pass out block party invitations

- The joy of spending six years in the same neighborhood, to really know neighbors

- A morning of playing with neighbor kids

- Front yard nearing completion
- Steve's help with the yard

- Girls delighting in the simplicity of pulling each other in the wagon
- Dogs plopped to watch
- Adrianna having "Caddy-wompus" stuck in her head
