God's gifts from a family visit
Whew, I'm having a hard time keeping up lately. I also have difficulty not returning to my ungrateful, controlling tendancies. I have been working on pulling out my camera to look for God's moments when I am struggling with ingratitude. There are so many moments of grace when I only look.
Starting with last Tuesday, here are some of the blessings from each moment...
- Adrianna and Abel wearing their Ethiopian clothes
- Sharing about adoption and Ethiopia with Adrianna's class- Curling up with Abel on the couch and reading book after book with him
- Abel wanting to ride his horse
- Abel playing ball while wearing Adrianna's boots
- Having a candlelit dinner with music, just because, as Adrianna read about in a magazine
- Having fun making hairbands for Adrianna
- Wildflowers on our trails
- Abel riding his glide bike all the way to music time and back (two miles!)
- Abel's funny naptime positions
- Abel counting the days until "Tom" comes (Mr. Thomson, Bible study leader)
- Getting goofy with Adrianna's hairband
- Abel finding new ways to use his dump truck
- Abel's constant love of playing in water
- Abel coloring on my car seat while I was vacuuming the car...
and it wiping right off

- Adrianna and Olivia playing Squinkies together
- Enjoying a chilly Farmer's Market with the family
- Enjoying the bounce houses and face painting and rockets at the picnic
- The weather clearing from all-day clouds and sprinkles just in time for our annual block party
- My father-in-law cooking for our block party again
- Loyal dogs
- Sharing delicious left-over lunches- New enjoyment of the old Jeep
