God's gifts at an Amish adventure

God's abundant moments of mercy from Saturday...
- Taking a trip to an Amish community for a fund-raiser auction for their school
- Adrianna hanging out with Grandma Julie and me in the quilt auction for several hours, just to wait for the green (Laura Ingalls' style) sun bonnet, which of course, came up on the block last (and we did not end up buying!)
- Abel and Adrianna trying out the Amish life

- Being a part of the Amish community for a day

- My in-laws helping to watch the kids so that Scott and I could be part of the bidding

- Adrianna's delight with the sun bonnet and crafting apron that we purchased from the auction
- Abel's response to a busy auctioning day
- Adrianna's drawing of the field next to the auction

From Sunday...
- Another migraine (hard thanks)
... and maybe figuring out what the trigger was this time (new air freshener?)

- Resting while Scott took the kids to church

- Adrianna playing with the African sticker book our friend gave us

- Scott taking advantage of a 40% off sale on trees to buy one for our front yard... and his dad taking him in his truck to do so

- Abel conceding to clean up the bed, after he protested for an hour and a half

- Adrianna offering to help me get dinner ready and telling me how fun it was, even to wash green beans... and getting to talk with her about one of my favorite verses, Colossians 3:17: "Whatever you do in word or deed, do all to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
- Movie dinner with the kids, while waiting for Scott to come home with the tree
- And the kids getting to use the  Fire King cups Adrianna spotted for us at the auction

From today...
- Abel watching the movie of his favorite book: The Snowy Day... and his realization that it was the same as the book by popping in all the parts he has memorized
- Trying out shepherd's cheese (sheep cheese), and finding it quite delightful
- Adrianna attending art class, as an early birthday present from her grandparents

- An impromptu hang-out with a friend and her son (Abel's age) while Adrianna attended art class
- Getting to answer Adrianna's question about if all roosters are boys -- a real joy of being a stay-at-home mom

- Adrianna "beading" in rest time, and making a beaded bookmark, because she saw one in a magazine
- The view from my kitchen window as I made dinner
- Waiting for Daddy
- Having our friend who took our family photos for us a couple days after we arrived home with Abel take our photos again
