Moments of grace

With the goal of one thousand recorded gifts reached, I found myself wondering what was next.  I found myself keeping a mental list and snapping pictures of moments I wanted to remember.  Thoughts of one thousand gifts and the blog kept sneaking into my mind.   If I put my grateful list on a tab of the blog, as Scott suggested, what would be the rest of the blog?  Since I began listing moments of grace, they became the blog.  And I want to record my daily gifts with my children, my family, my life.  So I believe I shall continue listing God's daily gifts to me -- as a record to share with friends and family, as a record to give to my children.

If I am to continue recording the gifts, I think I will do a couple of things differently to make it a little easier for me.  First, I think I will not number the gifts.  Second, I will record gifts daily as I have a chance, but I may not record every day.

From yesterday...

- Taking the time to make a beautiful (and delicious!) lunch

- Adrianna trying on Scott's shoes
- And Abel trying on Scott's shoes and socks

- Adrianna and Abel both working on a Father's Day surprise (shh.. don't tell Scott)

- Meeting our new neighbors as they moved in... and discovering that they have kids almost Adrianna's and Abel's ages and an older daughter named Adrianna

- Abel and Scott having a giggle-fest
- Abel jumping into the pull-ups box as soon as it was empty

And from today...
- Yummy fresh produce
- Simmering turkey chili
- Making beans from scratch again, but making them tastier with some chicken broth and turkey bacon
- Making raw sunflower seed butter... mmm
- Abel trying to escape (even though he is the one who locked the door!)
- Abel performing with his two new favorite words: "Sneaky" and "Bossy"... "Bossy Daddy!  Bossy Sissy!"
