Visiting the fam

Last week, before we left home, Scott's brother's family, and their three kids came to visit. We crammed in fun times before we packed up to go to Colorado. There, we squeezed in visits with both of my sisters, both of my parents and step-parents, two aunts, one uncle, two grandparents, six nieces and nephews, and a couple of friends. (To those friends and relatives we were not able to visit with this time, we'll try again next time!)

We visited with one of my friends (Samantha) I have known since junior high and her husband (Edward), and were blessed to meet their adorable little boy. They even cued us in on a nearby Eddie Bauer store closing, so we got a little extra shopping fun together!

Adrianna had fun playing kids' computer games with my mom, and telling her the animal videos she wanted to see on YouTube (she especially likes the wombat named Digger).
And she enjoyed the personalized coloring books Grandpa Richard made just for her.

She also got plenty of story time with Grandpa Bobby (Berenstein Bears seemed to be the hit with all the kids this year) and game time with Grandma Debbie.

We got a special treat on New Year's Eve, when my sisters and our husbands got a night of fun without kids. We send the kids off to the grandparents' houses for sleepovers, and we ordered Mexican take-out, and got to laugh together and watch Jay Leno's Free Photo Booths (on YouTube) until we were nearly in tears. I discovered, though, that it is harder to recover from a late night than it used to be!

We had a total of four present-opening extravaganza's this year (two in NM and two in CO), so we came home spoiled with goodies. We also enjoyed many loud meals together, hustling to get hungry kids and adults fed. (Thank you to all the hands that prepared so many large meals!)

Adrianna had fun times playing with her cousins. They are now old enough that they can entertain each other and understand each other, and give their parents a few minutes to sit between events!P enjoyed a photo shoot during dinner one night. He wanted so many pictures taken of him, that he even had to be reminded to eat!

Poor T picked up a virus and missed out on some fun, but got some good cuddle time with his dad.

Our last day in CO, we had fun getting to visit with relatives that we do not get to see as often.

The trip home will be another installment!
