God's gifts from eleven years

Our summer vacation is quickly fading away, with less than one week before school starts again.  Scott and I were blessed with a weekend get-away to Phoenix (a cheap timeshare deal makes even 113 degrees appealing!) to celebrate our eleventh anniversary.

Here are the photos from the last couple of weeks...
- Abel: "It's MY hat?"
- Delicious raw oat-peanut butter-bites
... And Abel jamming one in his mouth and asking for more on his first crunch
- Adrianna asking for more face painting

 - Reading to Adrianna and her working on crafts while we waited for Abel's swim class
- Apple cider slush at Farmer's Market
 - Giving the kids the faulty pizza crust, and them loving it

 - Abel giving our Bible study a hat parade show
 - Adrianna and Abel playing with the miniature tea set

- Adrianna and Abel breaking into spontaneous dancing
 - Fun times in the garage

- Jack hitching up a "trailer" for his bike: "Abel, you wanna ride?"
 - Abel putting both chairs together at the breakfast table
... and the kids enjoying sitting there, even if they were squished
- Scott's company picnic
... And Jack helping Abel through the bounce house course

 - "Picnic" in the living room, so that I could lay down with the family to eat
- Goodbye dinner at our church for one of the associate pastors, heading off into further ministries

...And Adrianna playing under the table with one of her favorite friends
- Riding to and from the park on a lovely summer day
 - Pool play with apples dangling overhead
 - Adrianna helping her brother figure out how to be Knight Abel

- Abel getting into beading with Adrianna and Jenny

- Finding a little munchkin on the couch
 - Adrianna making "Angry Birds" with her cucumbers
 - Playing "Going on an adventure" while waiting for Scott to meet us for my weekly back appointment
 - Getting together with my friend Jen, who was back for a visit after moving away
... And the kids having a great time playing with their buddy, Nathan
 - Getting away with Scott for four days
... And me getting a nasty-dizzy virus when we were supposed to be packing up, but being well enough to leave the day we hoped
- Making fun breakfast for two
... And eating up our own round of brie in a couple of days
 - Enjoying a nice, affordable timeshare
 - Eating at Ikea
 - Phoenix heat
- Just hanging out with my husband
 - Walking around the property and swimming in the salt water pools after sunset
 - Arriving home to two happy kids, who had fun times with their grandparents

- Spending the weekend praying about something important

- Teaching Abel how to play tic-tac-toe

- Adrianna making endless melted bead shapes
- Having a day home, with no appointments
... And the kids playing with the beans at the "Bean Bakery"
... And getting to cut the new "hide out" curtains for the loft bed
... And the kids trying out the new hide out

 - Adrianna inviting me to a "show" in her hide out
... But her not exactly knowing what to do for it

- Abel exploring Marble Works
 - Abel showing Dad how he learned to play tic-tac-toe
-- My garden helpers
- Getting to talk with my mother-in-law about what we prayed over
